Finally getting some eggs again!

I should have eggs in the incubator within the next week or so and will be able to produce some eggs for you in the near future. I'm very excited.  It's been a while since I've been able to have some.  Can't do a lot right now because we are renting and I have limited space.  But it will feel good to know that there are quail in the back yard!

God bless,

Quail Raising Book A Hit!!

Just want to shout a praise to God that so many of you have requested my little e-book and I hope that it continues to be a blessing to all those who use it.  I'm still not in a position to raise any quail as my wife and I are renting near Knoxville, TN.  We are searching for a little land in this with a creek.  If you know anyone who might want to bless someone with a good deal on a couple of acres with a creek in the general Knoxville area, please let me know.

God bless,

Wally

Moved Again!!!

We must be gypsies (is it politically correct to say that?).  We have moved to Tennessee and left behind my recently hatched batch of Georgia Giant Bobwhites.  It was a good hatch and I look forward to trying them again.  I gave them to my Pastor's daughter and she is getting the quail bug now!  I have to build a small barn where we are moving to so it will be awhile before I have any new stock. However, I would like to say that I am getting many requests for my free E-book and I'm excited to send it out to everyone that asks.  My goal is to help other folks learn how easy it is to raise quail and help provide some additional meat and eggs for the dinner table.  Talk to you soon!

PS The batch of Coturnix Jumbo Browns that I hatched in August ended up going in my freezer and some of my family's freezers as we could not move them with us to Tennessee.  I'm sure they will be delicious!

Georgia Giant Bobwhite Quail

Just purchased some Georgia Giant Bobwhite Quail eggs for hatching.  In 23 days I'll let you know what my new stock looks like.  I've been doing some research on these birds and though they take longer than the Coturnix to be meat-size, they will be three times the size!  I'm excited about the possibilities!

Texas A&M's started today

I just set eggs for the white Texas A&M quail today so I will have at least 2 varieties of the coturnix quail available at the same time.  I am considering adding another variety or two down the line and I will let everyone know when I do.

Happy Hatching!

I'm finally getting started!!!!

Placed my order tonight for equipment and eggs and should be up and running in about 3 months.  I want to thank all of you who have requested my ebook.   You need to know that it is inspiring to me that you would ask for it. I hope it provides you with some helpful tips on getting started with the Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail.

My goal in getting back in is to come up with a superior strain of the Jumbo Brown and become the number one provider of quality quail eggs and eventually quail meat in the country. My first task is to come up with an affordable, more organic feed.  Purina has the best quail feed going but they are not cheap nor are they organic.  I know I've set my goals high but if anyone reading this has come up with some natural feed supplements, I'd like to know what you found.  I hope to have eggs and day old chicks available by the fall but it all depends on the weather.  I can't ship chicks in the months of January and February - usually.  I have tried it with varying levels of success.  So much depends upon the Post Office and I have no control once it leaves my locale.

Thanks again to everyone who stops by my site.  Drop me a line and let me know how your quail projects are coming along.

Blessings In Christ Jesus,

Wally
